PARIS (AFP) – Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios has pulled out of the singles draw at the ATP event in Atlanta due to a knee injury.
The Australian was scheduled to play on Tuesday, but withdrew from the tournament.
“I’m shattered that I’m not able to compete tonight,” Kyrgios told the crowd.
“I’ve won this tournament and I’m playing some of the best tennis in my career. All I wanted to do was give you guys a show,” he added.
