KUPU SB to hold convocation for 224 graduates

The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) will hold its 11th convocation ceremony at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas on February 17.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Chancellor of KUPU SB is scheduled to grace the ceremony and present certificates and diplomas to the graduates.

“For the 11th convocation ceremony, 224 intending graduates will receive their certificates and diplomas from various programmes and disciplines,” KUPU SB International and Public Relation Director Nurul Atteyia Bahtriyah binti Md Salleh said.

Included are five graduates in PhD programmes, seven in Master of Religious Education, 34 in Postgraduate Diploma in Religious Teaching, 91 in Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education, 80 in Higher Diploma in Religious Education, six in Diploma programme and a special certificate in religious teaching.

Other events in conjunction with the convocation ceremony include the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil conducted online yesterday and Kesyukuran Ceremony at the ICC on February 19. The ceremony will feature a Khatam Al-Quran, presentation of academic awards and waqaf tarbiyah by the graduates as well as the signing of a memorandum of
understanding (MoU).
