    Kudos to obstacle course athletes

It’s good to see our obstacle course athletes do so well in the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Cambodia. Being ranked sixth in the men’s team relay is nothing to scoff at.

I believe the CrossFit fever in the country has allowed our athletes a platform to improve their endurance and strength, thus having the form to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the regional best. Now that they have the regional exposure, it is a matter of time before these athletes find themselves on the podium as the crème de la crème.

This is the first time I feel like the authorities have made the right move by focussing on sports we excel in, instead of basing it on their popularity. I cannot wait to see how well the rest of our athletes fare in the SEA Games.
