Korean dance group ready to bust moves in Brunei

A group of seven Korean street dancers called ARTGEE are in the Sultanate to showcase their moves in The Rhythm of Korea performance organised by the Embassy of Korea in Brunei Darussalam and Korea Foundation at Jerudong International School Arts Centre on Saturday.

The dancers will also perform in today’s Korean Festival opening ceremony at Times Square Shopping Centre.

“In an interview with the Bulletin, female dancer Gyuri said, “I understand that the Korean president visited Brunei four years ago and I also heard that Korean companies constructed one of the bridges in Brunei, however we didn’t know much about Brunei.”

She added, “While preparing for our performance, I have done some research on Brunei and found out that the country has many interesting elements such as in terms of culture and religion. “When I arrived here, we went to the night market in Gadong. I was relieved that many people greeted me in Korean. Everyone is very kind and courteous. We are very thrilled to be here to perform for the Bruneian people.”
