Kidney roadshow arrives in Belait

Some 200 people visited the Kidney Health for All roadshow in Kuala Belait yesterday.

The roadshow, organised by the Ministry of Health in conjunction with World Kidney Day 2023, featured a number of activities aimed to promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle, kidney health and mitigating the effects of kidney diseases.

The activities included a Zumba session and a four-kilometre fun walk and run event.

There were also booths conducting renal check-ups and consultations alongside table games and other casual edutainment activities focused on kidney health.

Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad was the guest of honour.

The roadshow launched in May in the Brunei-Muara District will take place in the Temburong District on September 17.

Yesterday, the Kidney Health for All roadshow was held alongside the monthly KBKu Ceria activity organised by the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board.

The event saw over 40 vendors selling food, drinks and handmade products along Jalan Sungai and around Menara Cendera Kenangan. – Daniel Lim
