Forty-eight Primary 6 students of Jerudong International School (JIS) Religious School took part in a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday to mark the completion of their 30 Juzuks of Al-Quran at JIS Art Centre.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MPRT) Haji Hairol Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim attended as guest of honour.
The ceremony commenced with Sayyidul Istighfar and Selawat Tafrijiyyah followed by the recitation Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour. The event continued with the recitation of Surah Adh-Dhuhaa to Surah Al-Lahab. Takhtim was recited by the female students and Doa Khatam was read by a participant. The male students led the Dikir Marhaban.
The ceremony concluded with a presentation of certificates to the students.
