Khatam Al-Quran for 22 students

Twenty-two Primary 6 students of Haji Mohd Jaafar Maun Religious School received Khatam Al-Quran certificates during the school’s annual Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the Conference Hall of the Islamic Da’wah Centre in Berakas.

Head of Human Resources Development and Scholarship at the Islamic Studies Department Hajah Safiah binti Haji Yahya as the guest of honour, presented the certificates.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour followed by the recitation of verses of Al-Quran by the participants.

It continued with the recitation of Takhtim and Dikir Marhaban by Primary 4 and 5 students, followed by the certificate presentation.

The event’s objectives were to instil love and interest among the students towards reciting Al-Quran fluently and encourage them to complete reading 30 Juzuks of Al-Quran before completing their religious studies.

It was also held to enhance relations and cooperation between parents and the school’s staff.
