A total of 176 students from Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School were feted during a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday for completing the recitation of 30 juzuk Al-Quran.
Director of the Islamic Studies Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Shamshol bin Haji Omar was the guest of honour. The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by the guest of honour, followed by an Al-Quran reading by Abdul Thaqif Al-Mahfuz bin Mohd Hamdi and takhtim by the students.
The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Khatam by Mohammad Adli Hafizh bin Ali. – Rokiah Mahmud
