    Khatam Al-Quran, donations enliven Ramadhan spirit

    Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam held a Khatam AI-Quran and Donation Ceremony for Orphans and Underprivileged Children, marking an annual event that the centre conducts in conjunction with the Nuzul Al-Quran celebration.

    The event, serving as a platform to reflect on the significance of the Al-Quran while also providing aid to orphans and underprivileged individuals, was held at the centre’s Surau and was attended by Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, and his spouse as the Guest of Honour.

    It began with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, participated by individuals with disabilities and staff members of Pusat Ehsan followed by  Takhtim, Tahlil, Doa Khatam, and Doa Selamat.

    The highlight of the event was the donation ceremony, where corporate sponsors and  individual donors  contributed funds to support Pusat Ehsan and in addition, donations were also distributed to 47 beneficiaries consisting of orphans, underprivileged children and a single mother from Pusat Ehsan’s staff.

    Donations to the centre,  orphans, underprivileged children and a single mother were contributed by Chinese Ambassador to Brunei  Xiao Jianguo donating BND15,000; OKKY Jewellery Sdn Bhd donated BND2,000; Samima Sdn Bhd, Al Barakah Company, Sifana Sdn Bhd, Halimon’s Spices Sdn Bhd, Build Mix Trading and Hiew HY Construction Sdn Bhd donation BND1000 and Syarikat TSM Sdn Bhd donated BND600.

    Meanwhile Fataj Sdn Bhd, Pustaka Remaja Sdn Bhd, Aisha Afiga, Syarikat Teras Maju Bookstore Sdn Bhd, Green Mart, Fataj Sdn Bhd and Powsen Sdn Bhd each contributed BND500.
