A Khatam Al-Quran ceremony was held on Sunday for some 43 participants, including students of various ages from the Al-Quran Al-Barakah class programme in Kampong Lumut II. An accredited da’ie from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) Hajah Zaliha binti Haji Ibrahim was the guest of honour at the ceremony at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club. The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by the guest of honour, followed by the recitation of Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah An-Nas by Khatam Al-Quran participants, who also recited Doa Takhtim.
The guest of honour presented the participants with gifts and tokens of appreciation to the accompaniment of the recitation of Dikir Marhaban. – Daniel Lim
