Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for 75 students

Seventy-five students of the religious school at the Jerudong International School (JIS) marked the completion of reading 30 Juzuk of the Al-Quran in the Khatam Al-Quran religious ceremony held at their Art Centre yesterday.

Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, guest of honour led the event with the recitation Surah Al-Fatihah.

Students recited Surah Adh-Dhuha followed by Doa Khatam, read by Haji Muhammad Hannan Mustaqeem bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Ahmadddin.

The Khatam students received their certificates from the guest of honour.

The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat read by Norimy bin Haji Ahad.

Yesterday’s ceremony was an annual event conducted by the religious school to ensure a generation to be literate in reading Al-Quran.
