In a culmination of a month-long tadarus Al-Quran, the Hassanal Bolkiah Kampong Mentiri Mosque hosted a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony, bringing together congregants in a spiritual celebration of the holy month of Ramadhan.
The ceremony was graced by Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Zalani bin Ismail, who led the mass recital of Surah Al-Fatihah to mark the commencement of the event.
The highlight of the ceremony was the collective recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuhā to Surah An-Nas, led by Imam Haji Samsul bin Haji Abdul Latif, followed by the takhtim, read by Awang Haji Annuar bin Penghulu Haji Ibrahim. The Doa Khatam and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara were then delivered by Imam Abdul Salam bin Haji Abdul Salim, seeking blessings for the nation.

Adding to the spiritual ambiance, the Khatam participants performed a Dikir Marhaban, filling the mosque with melodious praises.
Mosque Affairs Officer Pengiran Sallehin bin Pengiran Haji Tejudin expressed appreciation for the participants’ dedication, highlighting how the Tadarus Al-Quran has been instrumental in strengthening communal bonds and enhancing spiritual growth during Ramadhan.
“This ceremony is not only an expression of gratitude for the opportunity to enhance our worship during this holy month but also a motivation to continue the practice of reciting the Al-Quran beyond Ramadhan,” he said. – Lyna Mohammad
