Khatam Al-Quran celebrates students’ success

Some 252 Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) soon-to-be graduates participated in the graduation Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital yesterday.

The ceremony commenced with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, a guest of honour, followed by the recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuha to Surah al-Masad by the students, led by Muhammad Aqil Arfan bin Arjune.

The event also saw the recitation of Takhtim, and Doa Khatam by Mohammad Hafizuddin bin Mohammad Saidin while a Doa Selamat was recited by Abdul Hadi Nasrullah bin Muhammad Ashraf.

The deputy minister’s spouse Datin Hajah Norazimah binti Haji Ramlee was also a guest of honour.

Ra’es of KUPU SB Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani was present.

The ceremony aimed to glorify events in conjunction with the 14th Convocation on November 21 at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre. It also aimed to express gratitude for the success of the students in completing their studies at KUPU SB. – Lyna Mohamad
