A team from the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) led by Education Officer at Registrar’s Office of IBTE Dayangku Hajah Rosinah binti Pengiran Haji Muhd Kifli visited Kolej International Graduate Studies (IGS) recently, as part of the approval process for new programmes at private higher learning institutions.

Kolej IGS Chief Executive Officer Dr Haji Azaharaini bin Haji Mohd Jamil and Head of Academic Haji Hasnul bin Haji Hamdani welcomed the delegation on arrival.

Kolej IGS is set to introduce a new IBTE programme – HNTec in Construction and Draughting (Dual TVET) – next October.

The TVET scheme programme will be a new addition to the IBTE programmes introduced by the college last year namely HNTec in Business and Finance, NTec in Business and Administration, HNTec in Information Technology (IT), HNTec in Computer Networking and NTec in IT.

During the visit, the delegation took a closer look at the college facilities and lecture rooms, observed a hybrid teaching method and practical exercises in the laboratories and classrooms to ensure the programme will run in accordance with the IBTE standard.

The delegation also monitored industry and hands-on components of the programme that may be delivered at the industry itself.

IBTE Head of School of Building Technology Services Noorisman bin Mentarais was also present.
