Over 30 Malay Kedayan Association (PEMEDAYAN) members attended the Lawas Makan Tahun Festival at the Lawas Park last weekend.
This marks the first time since the second wave of COVID-19 was reported in Brunei that PEMEDAYAN crossed the border to attend the annual Kedayan Festivals outside the Sultanate.
The delegation participated in the Cultural Evening programme. The event also attracted Kedayans from Miri, Limbang, Labuan, Sipitang and Kota Kinabalu. Makan Tahun is a traditional Kedayan festival marking the end of the seasonal padi harvesting activities.
