KB nightly stage performances end on a high note

Following weeks of drawing crowds to the stage at the Tudung Saji in Kuala Belait, the last night performance on Monday served to conclude the royal birthday celebration on a high note.

Acting Belait District Officer Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad was the guest of honour at the event organised by the Mukim Penghulu, Village Head and Longhouse Chief’s Welfare Body (PEKERUPA), Belait District Office.

Residents from across the district performed, including students from Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in the Belait District with song and dance performances.

Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman and Yang Berhormat Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann were also present.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, attendees saw a joint performance by Mukim Liang and Mukim Belait consultative councils, showcasing Dusun and Belait ethnic cultures.

The were also a gulingtangan performance and a four-part silat showcase led by the Seni Warisan Pelangi Silat group. – Daniel Lim
