KB All Stars defeated BPC to win the Kuala Belait Team Badminton Tournament at the Kampong Pandan Community Hall on September 14.
AI ‘A’ claimed third place in the tournament.
The tournament, organised by the Belait District’s Brunei Darussalam Badminton Association in collaboration with the Village Consultative Council of Kampong Pandan ‘B’, was held in conjunction with the 78th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Acting Head of the Belait District‘s Youth and Sports Department Gaung Jamit presented the prizes.
Village Head of Kampong Pandan ‘B’ Muhammad Rawiyani bin Morney was also present.
The association hoped the competition provided a platform for shuttlers to hone their skills and to scout talents to represent the district and the country. – Daniel Lim
