Kasuka FC continued their relentless pursuit of the Brunei Super League 2023 title this season following a routine 8-1 victory over Jerudong FC at the Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex yesterday.

The firm title favourites extended their winning run to eight matches and preserve their perfect record at the top of the table.

The club in-demand star Adi Said and marquee signing Rosalvo Candido Rosa Junior stole the show after they each bagged a hat-trick.

Kasuka opened the scoring after defender Mohammad Alinur Rashimy bin Awang Haji Jufri fired them ahead in the third minute.

Md Khairul Anwar bin Abd Rahim doubled his team lead in the 12th minute before Rosalvo Candido added his name on the scoresheet nine minutes later.

Adi Said made a quick-fire double in a four-minute spell to put the game beyond doubt.

Rosalvo Candido got his second of the game in the 36th minute before completing his hat-trick two minutes into the second half.

Adi Said joined the Brazilian in managing a treble after completing his hat-trick in the 56th minute.

The visitors managed to keep the league leaders at bay for the last half an hour as the best chances fell to Adi and substitute Abdul Hafiy @ Aminin Herman.

The home side were awarded a penalty in the dying minutes of the game but Jerudong FC goalkeeper Romaino Maripa made a double save to deny both Asri bin Haji Aspar and Mohammad Alinur Rashimy.
