Kampung Buangkok FC produced a fine performance in the Brunei Elite Futsal League (BEFL) following a 4-1 victory against DDT FT at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex yesterday.
The Singapore-based guest team meant business as Habibi bin Sulan scored in the opening minute, leading to an early setback to their opponents.
The team’s star Bambang Bayu Saptaji doubled their lead in the 10th minute before DDT FT halved the deficit through Muhd Nur Hakimin Said Zharfan in the 21st minute.
However, Kampung Buangkok extended their lead with a two-goal cushion as Bambang Bayu completed his brace two minutes later.
Kampung Buangkok, who looked to bounce back from a 5-2 defeat by Almerez HiTune FC just a day earlier, compounded DDT’s woes three minutes from time through Abdullah Bazeer Ahamed.
Elsewhere, reigning holders Kasuka Ar Rawda underlined their intent of defending the title after cruising to a 6-2 victory against Kota Ranger BK FC. – Fadhil Yunus
