No injuries were reported following an electric fire at a house in RPN Kampong Rimba on Sunday.
Firemen on arrival at the scene found that the fire had been extinguished by a resident after the main circuit breaker emitted sparks.
Firefighters on scene also made sure the fire had not spread to other parts of the house.
Twelve firefighters from the Rimba Fire Station, led by DSO Abd Mazid bin Haji Mohammad, were dispatched to the incident.
The cause of the fire and losses are under investigation.
The Fire and Rescue Department advised the public to equip their households with fire extinguishers and fire blankets and ensure all electrical appliances are switched off after usage or before leaving the house.
