Villagers of Kampong Mulaut voted for Hamizan bin Haji Mustapa as their village head after voting at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam Religious School yesterday.
Hamizan graduated from Universiti Brunei Darussalam in 2017 with a degree in creative technology. He is also the current acting village head of Kampong Mulaut, as well as the head of the mosque youth of Pengiran Muda Abdul Mateen Mosque.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Zainol bin Haji Mohamed and Acting Brunei-Muara District Officer Pengiran Muhammad Amir Mubarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim as well as grassroots leaders were present during the voting ceremony.
The result of the voting has been submitted to the Board of Appointment, Discipline and Procedures for Mukim Penghulu and Village Head at the Ministry of Home Affairs for further processing. – Daniel Lim
