KACA children rewarded for saving

The Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) in Kiulap held a prize presentation ceremony yesterday for its Saving Project Phase 3, 2023. The five-year project, Projek Menabung Kaca, enters its third phase and is aimed at promoting a saving culture among children with special needs.

KACA President Dato Paduka Haji Zainal bin Haji Momin presented prizes to the highest saver.

KACA Managing Director Haji Abdul Alim bin Haji Othman said the saving project was inaugurated since 2011 and to date the students have collectively saved over BND84,000.

He also thanked parents and guardians for encouraging and supporting the project and help the children to manage their savings.

The ceremony also saw the presentation of prizes to winners for the Drawing and Colouring Contest in conjunction with KACA’s 37th anniversary, which saw 70 children participating.

The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of donation in the form of a photocopy machine by Jaffar Hussein Sulaiman Abdullah from Al-Sharjah Technical Services. – Rokiah Mahmud
