    Jungkook conquers Billboard charts

(ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – Jungkook of K-pop powerhouse BTS, has etched his name in history as the second-longest charting K-pop solo artist on the US Billboard’s Hot 100, coming in after the iconic Psy.

His track “Standing Next to You” impressively held its ground on the chart for 18 consecutive weeks, just shy of Psy’s staggering 31-week run with “Gangnam Style” back in 2012. This week, Jungkook climbed two spots, landing at No 85.

Not only has Jungkook made waves with “Standing Next to You,” but his collaboration with Charlie Puth on “Left and Right” also saw considerable success, remaining on the chart for 17 weeks in 2022.

Moreover, his debut solo single “Seven” enjoyed a 15-week stint on the chart, showcasing his broad appeal and versatility as an artist.

In related news, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, in collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp for the soundtrack of the American drama “The Idol,” saw her track “One of the Girls” reach No 55 in its 11th week, despite a slight dip in its chart position.

The influence of K-pop on international music charts continues, with TWICE’s album “With You-th” securing the No 35 spot and Le Sserafim’s “Easy” at No 50 on the Billboard 200 main albums chart.

Jungkook’s “Golden” and (G)I-dle’s “2” also made notable appearances, ranking at No 90 and No 132, respectively, further highlighting the global reach and success of K-pop artists.
