The Brunei Darussalam National Judo Federation (BDNJF) bid farewell to six local judo athletes as they left to compete in the Penang Invitational Judo Championships in Penang, Malaysia yesterday.
The tournament, held at the Sunshine Square, will begin tomorrow until Sunday.
BDNJF hopes the tournament will aid in the development of judo athletes in the Sultanate and allow the athletes to gain exposure through international meets.
Country representative of Mitsubishi Corporation Tadashi Hara and BDNJF president Haji Abdul Malik bin Haji Mohammad were present to send the athletes off at the Brunei International Airport.
