Joyful moments filled the air at Sultan Abdul Bubin Primary School in Kampong Sungai Besar as students and teachers welcomed familiar and new faces on the first day of school this year.
“We held an assembly to introduce new teachers and organised activities to spark enthusiasm among students for the new school year,” said principal Nur Aliyah Damia binti Abdullah Lim.
She also said the school has welcomed 214 students this year.
Year 6 student Awangku Md Nurrulasheib bin Pengiran Md Nurullazmi, meanwhile, shared his excitement about returning to school. “I am excited to be back and meet my school mates. I made sure that I had all my books and stationery ready,” he said.
The Year 6 student added he aims to score 5 A’s in the PSR this year.
Meanwhile, teacher Nursyuhairah said, “We cleaned the classroom and prepared study plans in advance for the students.
“Today’s highlights are the team-building activities to motivate the students.” – Adib Noor
