Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali’s (UNISSA) Journey of A Muslim yesterday won an Islamic creative video competition held in conjunction with the 40th National Day celebration.
Bravo Studies and Fi Amanillah, teams from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) were awarded second and third place with their entries, both entitled Jangan Berputus Asa (Don’t Give Up).
Winners of the competition received prizes at a ceremony at UBD.
Assistant Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs) and Acting Assistant Vice Chancellor (Corporate and Administration) Associate Professor Pengiran Dr Mohamad Iskandar bin Haji Petra was present at the ceremony.
The competition, organised by the UBD’s Spiritual and Community Service Unit, Student Representative Council and UBD Student Association, aimed to highlight the beauty of Islam as well as a platform for students to express creative and innovative ideas on channelling information to the community.
The video entries were judged by Islamic Da’wah Centre religious development officer Isham bin Ismail, Radio Television Brunei senior producer Pengiran Mohd Khairul Amalia bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Roslin and producer from Rezal Malek Faisal Productions Pengiran Samsul Rezal Malek Faisal bin Pengiran Haji Marali. – Azlan Othman
