Various violations were uncovered during a joint roadblock operation by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and the Land Transport Department (JPD), conducted on Tuesday in Kampong Layong, Tutong District.
The operation involved personnel and officers from Lamunin Police station and JPD, led by Tutong Police District Traffic Investigation Officer Assistant Superintendent of Police Ivy Han.
A total of 247 vehicles were checked and the RBPF issued 11 compound violations involving offences under the Chapter 68 of the Road Traffic Act, including worn out tyres, driving without a licence and loud exhausts.
The JPD found 12 violations including overloaded vehicles and trucks not covering their loads.
