Contraband and Misuse of Drugs Act (MDA) offences were discovered during a joint operation targeting a house in Kampong Tanjong Nangka on Wednesday night.
The RCED detained 10 men and three women and seized 10 packets (94 sticks) of cigarettes, eight bottles of alcohol as well as five units of vape. Thirteen suspects have been instructed to report to the RCED for further action and investigation.
Meanwhile, the NCB carried out 20 urine screening tests and detained four men and two women after the results tested positive.
Enforcement officers also checked three vehicles and found three apparatus believed to be drug paraphernalia.
Led by Brunei-Muara Police District, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the operation involved three officers from the Brunei-Muara Police District, officer-in-charge of the Sengkurong Police Station, 38 police personnel from Sengkurong Police Station, Limau Manis Police Station, Bandar Seri Begawan Police Station, Berakas Police Station, Kampong Ayer Police Station, 10 enforcement personnel from the Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) and eight enforcement personnel from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). – James Kon
