    Joint operation targets Salambigar staff house

    The joint operations, led by the Licensing and Enforcement Division of the Brunei-Muara District Office (JDBM) caught 24 foreigners believed to have broken the law.

    Dubbed Operasi Bersih, the raid was conducted at a staff housing in Kampong Salambigar where two foreigners were suspected of possessing several packets of cigarettes, a violation under Section 146 (1) (d) of the Excise Order 2006.

    Under the Chapter 17 of Immigration Act, nine foreigners were apprehended after failing to produce valid documents.

    Meanwhile, 13 foreigners were issued compound fine for violating Section 12(1)a of the Miscellaneous Act (Amendment 2021).
