A total of 25 bags of trash were collected during Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali’s (UNISSA) Outreach: Jerudong Beach Clean-up on Saturday.
Fifty volunteers from the university participated.
The campaign was organised by the Logistic and Community Units of Al-Qudwah Group under the Centre for Promotion of Knowledge and Language (CPKL) of the university.
Chairperson of Al-Qudwah Group Nurul Jariah binti Johari delivered welcoming remarks followed by a briefing by Head of Logistic Unit of Al-Qudwah Group Muhammad Amar Muzaffar bin Junaidi.
Deputy Director of CPKL Dr Hajah Ummi Fa’izah binti Haji Abdul Rahman also attended as the advisor.
The campaign aimed to maintain the cleanliness of the environment and instil a sense of responsibility among the students.
