Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (Perbadanan TAIB) established its humanitarian volunteer group with Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BRC) in a ceremony at the Musya-warah Hall of the International Convention Centre in Berakas yesterday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, in his capacity as Chairman of Perbadanan TAIB’s Board of Directors, was the guest of honour.
The minister commended Perbadanan TAIB for its proactive initiative in establishing a specialised volunteer group to contribute to various humanitarian causes.
The event’s highlight was the official launch of the humanitarian volunteer group by the guest of honour.
A video presentation showcased the involvement of the volunteer group with the BRC.
The ceremony proceeded with the presentation of the official plaque of the humanitarian volunteer group by BRC President Haji Mohd Suhaimi bin Haji Ibrahim to the guest of honour.
The establishment of Perbadanan TAIB Humanitarian Volunteer Group, comprised 91 members, exemplifying Perbadanan TAIB’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of membership certificates to the volunteers, the presentation of BRC First Aid certificates and certificates of appreciation and a group photo. – Adib Noor
