(ANN/KOREA HERALD) – Jisoo of Blackpink will mark her birthday on Friday with a subdued celebration, opting to postpone planned content releases out of respect for the victims of the Muan plane crash and their families. The announcement was made through her agency, Blissoo, on December 31.
The singer and actor is preparing for several major projects in the coming months. She will star as the female lead in the upcoming eight-part zombie series Newtopia, set to premiere next month. Later this summer, she will make her silver screen debut in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, a movie adaptation of a popular fantasy webtoon.
Fans can also look forward to Jisoo’s anticipated return as a member of Blackpink, with a potential group comeback as early as May.
In addition, Blackpink continues to make waves in the music world, recently surpassing 300 million views on YouTube for the performance video of their hit song As If It’s Your Last. Released in 2017 as a digital single, the track topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 74 regions and has become the group’s eighth dance video to achieve this milestone.
