Jerudong International School (JIS) emerged champions of the Albirex (S) South East Asia Cup 2024/2025 Brunei Finals held at the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) Football Field last Sunday.
Indera SC clinched the runners-up spot while Golden Hawks came third.
Organised by Dash Football Academy and powered by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engine System Asia Pte Limited, the tournament attracted the participation of eight local teams.
The tournament is also being held regionally across Asean providing a platform and opportunities for young players to play in a competitive environment.

Ambassador-Designate of Japan to Brunei Darussalam Kikuta Yutaka was present at the event.
Also present were Managing Director of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engine System Asia Pte Ltd Norio Murakami; Chief Executive Officer of Albirex Singapore Shujiro Namba; Academy Director of Albirex Singapore Habil Hakim bin Roslan; FABD Interim President Pengiran Haji Kamarunsalehin bin Pengiran Haji Kamis; FABD General Secretary Ahmad Zaeem Omarali and Director of Dash Football Academy Pengiran Mohd Shahrom bin Pengiran Haji Ismail.
The early rounds of the competition featured two matches being played simultaneously with teams chasing for a place in the knockout rounds.
During the eagerly-anticipated competition, participating teams showcased exciting plays and tactics epitomising the strength, ball knowledge and chemistry among teammates. – Fadhil Yunus
