The jetty at Kampong Bakut Berumput in Mukim Peramu, which faces our beautiful city, is in a state of disrepair.
For those who commute via boat frequently, the alternative is to use the flight of wooden stairs nearby, which is not in the best condition either.
It is a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt.
With all the emphasis on health and safety lately, perhaps it is high time to ensure public facilities are fit for use. Thus, I call on the authorities to take immediate action in fixing the jetty.
