Jelajah Ramadhan returns for the seventh time

The Jelajah Ramadhan has returned for the seventh time and is being held in four phases: Ramadhan Basket; donation collection by drive-through system; sorting and packaging; and donation drive.

Ramadhan Basket, which runs from March 26 until April 12, is in collaboration with DeRimba Department Store, TM Majeed Supermarket, bruneihalalfoods (Ghanim International Corporation Sdn Bhd), Orbit Supermarket Sdn Bhd, Atlanta Supermarket, Fayzee Department Store (Salambigar), One Station (Kiulap), One Station (Mentiri), Maju Grocer Supermarket, Syarikat Nurbismi (Lambak Kiri), Syarikat Nurbismi (Masin), Nur Mohammed Asli Enterprise and Syarikat NASA Mini Mart.

It aims to provide opportunities for consumers to buy and donate for a good cause.

Consumers may place donated items in a basket provided at the supermarkets which will be channelled to 100 selected families in the Sultanate.

The participation from volunteers has been encouraging; 70 people have registered to take part in this year’s project, totalling over 300 volunteers who participated in the previous years.

The public is welcomed to drop off their donations such as food, toiletries and other household necessities to Block C, Residential Building, Games Village, Kampong Berakas.

The time for drop-off is between 9am to 4pm and 7.30pm to 9pm.

Jelajah Ramadhan is an annual project organised by Projek Bina Ukhwah to support the underprivileged families in Brunei in the form of in-kind donation for preparations of Ramadhan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
