Some 104 Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School Year 11 students attended an Izin dan Restu Ilmu ceremony at the school’s multipurpose hall recently.
The event, organised by the school’s Academic Division and the Counselling and Career Unit, commenced with Ashadi bin Haji Kassim reciting Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech from school Principal Hajah Adimah binti Haji Mohd Said.
Invited speaker from the Counselling Division at the Ministry of Education Haji Sammali bin Haji Adam delivered a talk on ‘Doa and Redha by Parents Bringforth Blessings’.
The ceremony also saw a segment where parents read letters written by their children, followed by the presentation of certificates and souvenirs to the speakers.
Student representative Muhammad Qawiem Aiman bin Adinuriman expressed his deepest gratitude to all teachers throughout their five years.
Meanwhile, parents and guardians representative Hajah Aidah Redha Hayati binti Md Noh and teachers’ representative Zatun Nasibah binti Haji Othman also delivered speeches.
The ceremony concluded with Ashadi reciting Surah Al-’Asr.
The event aimed to further motivate and prepare parents and guardians and students’ mental and physical preparation for the BCGCE ‘O’ Level examinations.
