Itzy drops stunning album cover

SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – K-pop sensation Itzy is set to kick off the new year with a bang, unveiling their highly-anticipated album “Born To Be” along with a global tour.

Scheduled for release on January 8, the album boasts 10 tracks, with the lead single being “Untouchable.”

The initial teaser image, revealed on the group’s official website, showcases the members in a warrior-like pose against a vibrant red and blue backdrop.

Adding to the excitement, “Born To Be” introduces solo songs from each member, showcasing their talents as lyricists and composers.

Yeji contributes “Crown On My Head,” Ryujin presents “Run Away,” Chaeryeong offers “Mine,” Lia brings forth “Blossom,” and Yuna delivers the captivating “Yet, but.” Get ready for a musical journey as Itzy gears up to conquer the global stage in 2023.

The release comes ahead of the quartet’s second world tour, also named “Born To Be,” on February 24 and 25 at Jamsil Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The group had successfully completed its first world tour, “Checkmate,” in 2022, performing in eight US cities and seven Asian countries.

Lia will not participate in the tour or activities for the new album due to health reasons.

“Lia was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. She is currently focusing on treatment,” the agency said in a notice issued last month.
