The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) held an Israk Mikraj ceremony at its surau, Jalan Kebangsaan yesterday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah attended joined by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, permanent secretaries, heads of departments and divisions, officers and staff at the MoFE, including officers and staff from His Majesty the Sultan Flight (HMSF).
A special lecture was delivered by Ministry of Religious Affairs Special Duties Officer Grade II Muhd Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid.
The event is an annual religious activity organised by the MoFE to celebrate Israk Mikraj while strengthening ties between officers and staff.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) held an Israk Mikraj celebration at Sarmayuda Hall of the Language and Literature Bureau yesterday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad was among the attendees. The ceremony began with Sayyidul Istighfar, recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and verses of Al-Quran, led by National Qari Abdul Haziq Syarafuddin bin Abdul Habib followed by a religious talk from Islamic Da’wah Centre officer on ‘Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Bertawakkal dan Berdoa Menghadapi Ujian: Sembahyang Meraih Redha Allah‘.
Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretary, officers and staff at the MCYS were also in attendance.
Meanwhile, Kampong Penapar Mosque’s Takmir Committee members held a special Israk Mikraj lecture last Friday.
The event were attended by the mosque’s congregation.
