The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) yesterday launched the Islamic Financial Management exhibition at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid was the guest honour.
KUPU SB Ra’es Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani said, “As humans, we will not be able to run away from facing problems in managing finance.
“Therefore systematic and organised financial management will help enriching our lives in line with Maqasid al-Shariah.
“We need to start new initiative to change our attitude in financial management from wasting to prudent and unplanned to plan spending.”
Exhibitors include Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam, Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB), Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), Brunei Institute of Leadership and Islamic Finance (BILIF) as well as faculties and centres of KUPU SB.
Members of the public are welcome to visit the exhibition which is until tomorrow from 10am to 6pm.
Islamic Financial Management exhibition is one of the events under Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (MYCE) 2024 that focuses on the themes of Islamic, environment, technology, innovation as well as current affairs. – James Kon
