The Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) recently marked International Civil Aviation Day with a religious ceremony at the Brunei International Airport Surau.
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, senior officials, executives and staff from the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, along with representatives from relevant agencies at the airport recited Surah Yaasiin and Doa Kesyukuran to commemorate the occasion.
The theme of the International Civil Aviation Day 2020-2023 is ‘Advancing Innovation for Global Aviation Development’, in line with the International Civil Aviation Organisation that focusses on innovation in air transport technology.
The theme highlights the importance of state-of-the-art aircraft and operations are to the development of aviation and air transport around the world for improvements in safety, efficiency, security and sustainability.
