Some 116 Year 7 students of Rimba II Secondary School attended a nationhood briefing programme recently at the school’s lecture theatre.
The Nationhood Unit of the Strategic Communication, Publishing and Strategic Communication section, Department of Information at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) conducted the briefing on ‘Our Monarch, Appreciating the National Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’.
Information Officer Mufidah binti Abdul Hakim, as the Head of Strategic Communication Section, Publishing and Strategic Communication Division, delivered the briefing on the monarch, the history and procedure for hoisting the national flag, as well as the history of Brunei Darussalam’s national anthem ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’.
The students also participated in the nationhood quiz. The programme was part of the Information Department’s efforts to instill love for the monarch, religion, nation and the country.
It also aimed at further strengthening the spirit of solidarity, patriotism and national pride among the students.
