Insightful programme for UBD students association, alumni

Fifty participants from the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Students Association (PMUBD) and UBD alumni participated in briefings and visits during the Informed Community Programme on Thursday.

The programme is one of the leading platforms to build a strong bridge between the Information Department, government agencies and the private sector to channel information to the society.

The participants attended an anti-corruption awareness briefing from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) .

Meanwhile, they visited the Brunei Innovation Lab in Kampong Anggerek Desa that helps develop local start-up companies and increase in producing solutions by leveraging new technologies.

The participants also visited the Makmur Lantern Gallery at the Information Department to learn the methods used by the department in disseminating government information, policies and activities.

The programme concluded with a trip to Ghanim International Corporation Sdn Bhd in Salambigar Industrial Park to learn about the services and facilities used to produce Brunei Halal products, such as Blue Shrimp Crackers, that has won international awards. – Azlan Othman
