Fatih Aquaculture won the top prize at the 17th Shell LiveWIRE Business Awards, taking home BND10,000 in the Most Outstanding Business category. The company was recognised for its innovative approach and commitment to environmental sustainability.
Teamone Environmental Technologies won BND7,000 as the Most Promising Business, and Bravo Sports Network (BSN) also received BND7,000 as the Most Progressive Business for its market adaptability and development. Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid attended the event. Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) Finance Director Haji Zulazrin bin Haji Mohidin was also present.
Darat West Development Lead in BSP and Shell LiveWIRE Brunei Chairman Mohd Erwan bin Mohd Said highlighted the awards’ alignment with Brunei Vision 2035, which aims to foster economic growth, business diversification and job creation.
He also announced a new tech clinic supported by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam to help local businesses embrace innovation and become market-ready.
Shell LiveWIRE Brunei Programme Director Qawiem Yacob encouraged the winners to persevere, noting their contributions to Brunei’s economic and national development goals. – Fadley Faisal
