Ady Daniel bin Serani, who holds an HNTec in Computer Networking at IBTE School of Energy and Engineering Satellite at the Jefri Bolkiah Campus, recently won the IBTE School of Aviation’s Skills Competition in Information Network Cabling.
He received his prize from IBTE Central principal Armi Durani bin Haji Duraman at a prize presentation ceremony.
Nur Alimatu Asy Syakinah and Muhammad Syazwan bin Samra were the first and second runners-up.
Six students competed in the competition, made up of three students of IBTE School of Aviation, Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus, and School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus.
The competition tested the students on five skills conducted by IBTE to select a representative to the ASEAN WorldSkills 2023 that will take place in Singapore on July.
Among the skills assessed were: refrigeration and air conditioning; cooking; restaurant service, IT solutions for business; and information network cabling to encourage students to achieve excellence in specific fields.
The competition also aimed to produce highly-skilled individuals that will contribute the Sultanate’s economic growth in alignment with Brunei Vision 2035 goals.
