    Induction programme welcomes 125 new teachers

    The Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Department of Educators Management held an opening ceremony for an Induction Programme for New Teachers 2024 at the Tokyo Hall of the Airport Mall yesterday.

    Some 125 teachers were involved as participants in this year’s induction programme.

    The programme aims to provide related information before beginning their duties and responsibilities as teachers, and as a platform to enhance future collaborations and cooperation with other peers professionally.

    Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the MoE Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman was the guest of honour.

    Acting Director of the Department of Educators Management Masdiah binti Haji Tuah, as the Chairperson of the Induction Programme for New Teachers 2024, delivered a speech followed by the guest of honour’s address and the programme’s opening.

    The programme features activities and presentations by the departments from the MoE and other agencies including the Office for Wawasan Brunei 2035 from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Mosque Affairs Department from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Brunei History Centre, the Language and Literature Bureau, the Criminal Investigation Department from the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Brunei Malay Teachers Association.

    Heads of departments, heads of clusters and senior officers from the MoE were also present.

    The programme, which commenced yesterday, will run until January 31. – Azlan Othman
