Induction programme for PPB trainees concludes

Ninety youth completed their induction programme at the Youth Development Centre (PPB) yesterday and will soon begin courses at the centre.

The closing ceremony took place at the Sports Complex, Berakas where PPB Assistant Director Haswandi bin Haji Osman was the guest of honour.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to instructors from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Youth and Sports Department and the PPB.

The induction programme, which began on June 6, exposed the trainees to activities covering fitness, sports, character development and teamwork.

It included activities such as drills, team and capacity building and leadership development.

Trainees also took part in spiritual and religious activities to develop the national identity and characteristics in line with national aspirations to equip youth with noble values, determination, vision as well as the national philosophy of Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB).

The trainees also heard a briefing delivered by the Fire and Rescue Department and Royal Brunei Police Force personnel.
