Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Dr Achmad Ubaedillah expressed appreciation for the diversity of regional traditional clothing in Indonesia worn by the Indonesian Community Association (Permai) while participating in Brunei Darussalam’s 40th National Day parade on Saturday.
The Indonesians in Brunei participated in the event represented by Permai in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Brunei Darussalam with 70 participants this year. Of this, 29 wore traditional clothes from different regions in Indonesia.
“This is my first time attending and witnessing Brunei’s National Day celebration. I am proud of the Indonesian community for being active in enlivening activities in Brunei, including this celebration. It is very visible that Indonesians are well received by the government and the people of Brunei,” said the ambassador.
