JAKARTA (XINHUA) – Indonesia has received USD391.8 billion in domestic and foreign investments over the last five years, according to Investment Minister Rosan Perkasa Roeslani on Monday.

He said the sum was nearly twice that of the previous five-year period, which totaled USD224.6 billion.

“In the last five years, investment growth has surged by 90.2 per cent, with an average annual growth rate of 18 per cent,” he said.

The investments were not limited to Java, the most populous island and home to the metropolis of Jakarta, but were increasingly directed to outlying islands, he added.
