Fifty-five members of Education Institution Volunteer Group (PSIP) from 11 government secondary schools attended a teamwork workshop organised by the Uniforms and Community Services Unit of the Co-Curriculum Education Department, Ministry of Education (MoE).
The workshop, held in cooperation with the Brunei Youth Council (BYC), was conducted from August 6-7 at the multipurpose hall of the Lifelong Learning Centre (L3) in Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan.
Acting Director of the Co-Curriculum Education Department Mohammad Norilham bin Haji Jais was the guest of honour at the closing ceremony yesterday.
Acting Head of the Uniforms and Community Services Unit Mohd Arif bin Abdul Hadi said the workshop was aimed at creating opportunities to interact and get to know each other as well as instil the spirit of volunteerism in carrying out community work.
The workshop, facilitated by BYC President Khairunnisa binti Haji Ash’ari and BYC members, also served to improve the participants’ skills in further developing future leaders.
The event continued with a certificate presentation by the guest of honour to participants.
Prizes were also awarded to winners of workshop activities; Teamwork Workshop Amazing Race winner was Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar Secondary School, while Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College in second, and Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School in third.
PSIP members from Sayyidina Ali Secondary School in Kuala Belait, Awang Semaun Secondary School, Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School, Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna Secondary School, Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Secondary School and Sayyidina Husain Secondary School also attended the closing ceremony.
