    In the spirit of Ramadhan

    Al-Huffaz Management

    The Baiti Baitul Quran, in collaboration with Al-Huffaz Management, recently held a charity event which coincided with a funeral management workshop in collaboration with the Community Development Department. The event, held by Ar-Razaq Kifayah Management, took place at the Memorea, The Walk, Beribi Central.

    UBD, UTB, UNISSA & KUPU SB

    Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) through its Student Representative Council (PMUBD) in collaboration with students’ association of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), organised a Ramadhan charity project dubbed ‘Bersama Berbagi Berkat’.

    It was held on March 24 and concluded with a Kesyukuran ceremony at UBD Mosque on Sunday.

    Two thousand packets of bubur lambuk were prepared by 160 students from the four higher learning institutions and distributed to 22 mosques in the Brunei-Muara District, eight in the Tutong District, six in the Belait District and four in the Temburong District.

    Ministry of Health & DST

    The Ministry of Health (MoH) teamed up with DST recently to hold a Ramadhan charity drive, ‘Ihsan Kasih’, an annual DST’s corporate social responsibility initiative. 

    The initiative aimed to aid those in need, especially during the holy month of Ramadhan.

    DST partnered with the Medical Social Work (MSW) Unit of the MoH to prioritise patients requiring medical equipment and supplies.

    The drive was led by Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdol Hazis bin Haji Ahad and DST CEO Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni, along with DST senior management team and other members, as well as officers and staff of the MSW Unit.

    Among the medical items contributed by DST to 23 underprivileged patients included hospital beds, hearing aid, milk supplies, and breathing devices. DST said that it hoped the contributions have lessened the financial burden of the patients. – James Kon

    Ducati Brunei

    Ducati Brunei concluded its ‘Unity in Charity’ campaign at a restaurant in Gadong on Monday,

    Over 25 Ducati owners participated in the campaign and had an iftar with Panglima Barudin Primary School’s parent-teacher association (PTA) members and Ducati Brunei staff and management.

    The campaign, which began on March 11 and ended on March 30, raised BND4,800 from the contribution of Ducati Brunei, its staff and management, customers, members of the Ducati Official Club Brunei (DOCBN) and the public.

    Ducati Brunei’s sales and marketing manager Adehelmie Jaafar and DOCBN President Muhd Fadzillah bin Haji Abdullah to the PTA’s chairman Abdul Aziz bin Haji Masri presented the donation.

    The proceeds will be used to support the underprivileged and orphan students of Panglima Barudin Primary School in Kampong Limau Manis. – Adib Noor
